Celebrating by myself may look a bit depressing, but it was anything but! Coming back to my village after a two week sabbatical was a breath of fresh air! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Also, Shizue looks absolutely adorable in her little kimono. I really wonder what she’ll wear outside of Japan. Hmm…
Either way, 明けましておめでとうございます、しずえちゃ〜〜ん！！
I am SO sorry for poorly updating this blog lately. The holidays hit, I went to Shizuoka with my wife and son, and I have been playing Borderlands 2 like crazy (Present from my mother-in-law).
I finally decided to jump back into New Leaf, considering it was New Year’s, so here we go!!
I celebrated a little time with Shizue, stupid Red, and one of my new neighbors… and then I immediately after got stuck in a hole… on New Year’s. *sigh*
What is up with my old villagers coming to hang out at my mall?! First, it was Sara, and now Sable is hanging out. Well, at least Sable talked to me… even if it IS a bit strange.
Translation: “Hmm. This smell…? Of course it’s you, Jason-kun!”
What a weirdo. She remembers my smell.
No! There was a fishing tournament today, and I totally missed it. I’ll get you next time, Lionel. Next time!
Notice something? I got that Dogurou out of my village and away from my bridge! w00t!
So the first picture is Sara. She used to live in my village, but she moved out. Now she’s hanging out in my mall, and she won’t talk to me. The picture literally says, “Oh, sorry. I may look like I have free time, but I don’t.” I see how it is, jerk.
And secondly, my 523,000 bell Totem Poll finished! I like the positioning, but I did not like how much it costs. Yikes!
GRACE! I haven’t seen you in so, so long! How’s that fashion check going?
Oh, yeah. GORGEOUS!
This is my new village friend, Kumarosu. He seems a bit strange, but he’s already been quite active! And I love that he calls me Jason-kun.
animalcrossingchic said: Hey there! Sorry to bug you but what would your review of animal crossing 3DS be? Did it meet your expectations and how do you find it? Thanks •o•
I’ll try to keep this short.
I may not have the best opinion on this, because I haven’t played an Animal Crossing game since the original on the Gamecube. With that in mind, New Leaf is a wonderful upgrade! Playing as Mayor is also a nice twist on the gameplay and adds lots of value to what is already a very complex game.
The customization is HUGE! Customizing the city, your house (Interior and exterior), upgrading stores and the museum, customizing clothes, music, flags, etc. It’s just quite an open game to have lots of freedoms.
It also feels a lot like Animal Crossing, naturally. I think this is a great thing, because it is very relaxing, enjoyable, and a rather delightful experience. It’s easy to pick up and play, but it’s also easy to invest grand amounts of time.
The online is fantastic! Playing, chatting, and doing things with friends makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable.
Overall, it’s an amazing experience. I haven’t played my 3DS so much since Monster Hunter Tri G came out here in Japan, and honestly, dare I say that I am enjoying Animal Crossing: New Leaf much more than Monster Hunter. ;)
